Executive Summary

Citigroup at $125.39 per share is, in our view at T&T Capital Management, the deepest-value money-center bank we have underwritten in over a decade — and as of Q1 2026, the most credible turnaround in the G-SIB peer group. Jane Fraser became Chief Executive Officer in March 2021 — the first female G-SIB CEO in U.S. banking history — inheriting a franchise that had underperformed every peer for fifteen years and traded stubbornly below tangible book value for most of that period. Her multi-year “simplification” agenda — five-segment reorganization, Banamex Mexico divestiture, expense reduction, and regulatory consent-order resolution — was widely viewed as necessary but unproven through 2023-2024. The Q1 2026 print changed the narrative materially.
