Executive Summary

Veritone is a speculative, deeply unprofitable micro-cap artificial-intelligence software company whose aiWARE platform orchestrates a library of machine-learning models to turn unstructured audio, video, and text into searchable, actionable data. We have studied Veritone the way we study any potential turnaround: starting from the balance sheet and working backward. What we find is a business that has never earned a GAAP profit in nine years as a public company, that diluted shareholders from roughly 10 million shares at its 2017 IPO to about 93 million today, and that as recently as 2024 carried more than $119 million of debt against a cash balance in the teens.
